On our way home from the trip to Kumamoto we went to Tarutama Onsen. This onsen/ryokan is beautifully located in the heart of Aso. Just outside the parking lot you have a nice view of a waterfall.

Tarutama Onsen has an indoor bath and a rotenburo, which are seperated. We first bathed in the rotenburo, got dressed and went to the indoor bath.
