川南温泉 (Kawaminami Onsen)

After a long time we visited an onsen that is a member of Kyūshū Onsendō again. It was our first visit to an onsen in Miyazaki prefecture. Kawaminami Onsen is the local onsen for Kawaminami town and it's located in the middle of nowhere.

We talked a little bit to the person running the place and it seems it may disappear. The onsen costs a lot of money and there are not enough customers to break even. I think it would really be a shame if it went down, because I really liked it.
It was difficult taking a picture because of the fog, but this is the men's bath.
The waiting room. They sell locally produced milk here. I recommend trying it. It's cheap and tasty.
