My wife's aunt came to visit from Fukuoka and we took her to a luxurious ryokan in Yufuin for lunch and onsen. If you have lunch at Saigakukan you can use the onsen for free. Lunch was really good and the onsen — especially the rotenburo — is gorgeous.
