Today we visited hotel Kakusuien in downtown Beppu. Of the hotel onsen I have tried so far, Kakusuien is my favorite. The owner of the hotel likes collecting art, so there are many nice decorations. I also like the fact that the interior is mainly made of wood. You can even smell it.
For men there are two indoor baths of different temperatures and an open air bath. Women also have two indoor baths, but unfortunately no rotenburo.
