Iyashi no Yado Iroha is a nice ryokan in Kannawa. It became part of Beppu Onsendō this year. Looking at the buildings, I think this ryokan is quite new. They recycled a lot of the wood of a mansion that belonged to the great grandfather of former prime minister Aso Taro.
Guests stay in a kind of private cottage and it seems that you get sushi for dinner here. Everything looks really nice. I wouldn't mind staying here a night, or two. The onsen was nice too. The men's bath and women's bath are identical. There is an indoor bath and a rotenburo. I stayed indoor mostly, because it was raining hard.
