The Myōban area of Beppu is famous because of the large amounts of sulphur in the water. Within Myōban, Wakasugi is famous for having the strongest water. I suppose I smelled bad for a few days after having bathed here. Most people don't like the smell of sulphur, but I have gotten used to it and I actually like it now.
