My wife has a long winter break this year, so we have plenty of time to go onsening. The last few days we have been exploring some of Oita city's onsen. This time we went to Marutaya Onsen.
Marutaya Onsen is located in a fancy residential area in the hills of West Oita. This onsen has a nice sauna, a cold bath, a hot bath and a rotenburo. There are also six family baths, which cost 2000 yen for 50 minutes.
I didn't take many pictures this time. This is a shot of the nice fireplace in the reception area.
