Lamune Onsen was my favorite onsen in Nagayu. This place has many interesting features. It starts with the buildings: they are built in a style unlike any onsen I've seen so far. I liked it, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the traditional ryokan owners in Nagayu opposed their plans. Another example of an interesting detail is the fact that the door to the baths is tiny. No grown man would be able to go through without crouching.

Besides the nice style and interesting details, the baths were really good too. Inside there is one big bath that is divided into three or four compartments. Outside you will find the bath called "Lamune". The interesting thing about this bath is that thousands of small air-bubbles stick to you skin. The water is a bit cold, so I recommend you use the sauna first.

The main building, which has a small art gallery.
